Mojdeh RasoulzadehDescription
In this project the full set of Navier Stokes equations in a long fracture with wavy walls will be solved asymptotically. The fracture's walls are wavy and fluid passes through them and enters into the fracture. The fracture geometry will be mapped to a cylindrical geometry and the flow equations will be solve in this new system. The objective is to determine the effective permeability of the fracture. You know fluid mechanics and differential equations, you will enjoy this project!
Special Skills
Math 238 and Math 343 Fluid Mechanics Matlab (Symbolic toolbox): not obligatory but will be a plus.
