UNDERGRADUATE research assistants (2) needed to conduct a scoping literature review of geographic information systems (GIS) use in the areas of diabetes, healthcare service access, health outcomes, and health disparities. The scoping review will identify limited and specific studies about how GIS has been used to investigate access and/or distance to healthcare services for diabetes. Literature searches of electronic databases will be completed using the following search terms (and derivatives): “geographic information systems” AND “diabetes”. The Methodology for Joanna Briggs Scoping Reviews will be used utilized.
Special Skills
Use of GIS is not required as this is a scoping literature review. Library database search skills are needed.
